Microsoft to stop producing Windows versions
Windows 10 is going to be the last major revision of the operating system.
Jerry Nixon, a Microsoft development executive, said in a conference speech this week that Windows 10 would be the "last version" of the dominant desktop software.
His comments were echoed by Microsoft which said it would update Windows in future in an "ongoing manner".

Migration Paths from VMware v5 Certification to v6
Upgrading from VCP5 to VCP6: Only one exam is required. There is no course attendance required (but it is recommended). There will be five VCP6 migration options across the four technology tracks: Data Center Virtualization (DCV), Desktop and Mobility
Upgrading to VCIX6: For anyone certified as a VCAP5 one exam is required. There is no course attendance required (but it is recommended).
Upgrading to VCDX6: If you hold a VCDX5, you will only need to take the VCIX6 Design exam in the corresponding solution track.

VMware Exam Retirement Announcement
Effective March 2, 2015 the following certification exams will be retired and no new registrations accepted:
- VCID510 – VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 – Cloud Infrastructure Design
- VCIA510 – VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 – Cloud Infrastructure Administration
- VDTA510 – VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 – Desktop Administration
- VDTD510 – VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 – Desktop Design
CASP (CAS-001) Exam to Retire June 20
An update to the CompTIA CASP certification exam launched January 20, 2015 (CAS-002) with the old exam (CAS-001) set to retire on June 20, 2015. CASP is a mastery level exam that validates advanced competency and skill in IT security. The new exam (CAS-002) addresses the latest enterprise-level cybersecurity threats.

Network+ (N10-006) launchs February 28
The new version of Network+ (N10-006) will launch on February 28, 2015, the new exam has been updated to reflect the current thinking of industry professionals as well as to reflect technologies used today, with a greater emphasis on practical knowledge, especially how to identify and use elements of a network infrastructure.
