    Microsoft to Charge for Office 2007 Beta 2



    Is a beta version of the suite code-named Office 12 worth twelve bits? That's a question that some folks will have to ask themselves starting on Wednesday, when Microsoft starts charging $1.50 for downloads of the beta 2 version of Office 2007. The cost, says Microsoft, helps to cover the bandwidth charges it's incurring for the 500MB+ download....

      Gee. I can download OpenOffice.org for free and get most of what Office has to offer...at least as far as I'll ever use. :D
