    Firefox browser takes on Microsoft



    Few people get excited when some new software is released, especially when the program is not a game or a music or movie player.
    But the release of the first full version of a web browser called Firefox has managed to drum up a respectable amount of pre-launch fervour.

      I've been using it for about 6 weeks now. It IS faster than IE and kills popups dead, but really it is just Netscape on speed. Can't really understand the media hype :oops:

      ok so how many ppl on here are using a non microsoft internet explorer? if so what are you using? and what are the pro's and con's?

      I use a mixture of Opera and Firefox, i have to use IE for the ocassional site (usually a bloody MS one anyway)

      just d/l and installed it. Never used anything else other than IE. Very impressed. Quick to load pages, shall have to put in some detailed testing. [​IMG]
