End of Year Review: Goals for 2024

Well it's almost the end of the year... How has your goals come along?

For me:

1. Complete the M816 Data Management module from the OU ✔️
2. Gain my Comptia CASP+ certification ❌
3.̵ Gain my 4th Dan in Tang Soo Do (karate) ✔️
4. Gain my PGDip in Cyber Security ✔️

Completed all bar the number 2. Decided to not do this for now.

Thanks Ken, love these posts. Wow mines changed a lot. I left VMware for starters. Something I thought I would never do but it wasn’t the same when Broadcom took over, don't get me started

Let’s see. This should be good


1. Gain the next level of Google certification, the Cloud Engineer cert (didn't happen as I moved to ServiceNow and love it, that said, Google does look pretty good so never say never...)
2. Gain the VMware Certification Implementation Expert (VCIX) by passing the advanced design and deploy certs, so 3 certs to get Left VMware in March so didn't happen and definintely won't happen now. I'll likely never sit another VMware exam again as I am now focussed on ServiceNow and the Now Platform, Now Assist GenAI etc
3. Continue to learn Spanish on duolingo Smashing this and on day 455 woo hoo! Wife also passed the year mark I'm happy to report! Proud of myself on this one as I've said I'd do it for a decade or more, no more excuses, it's only a few minutes a day
4. Lose 2 stone! Not sure how I'll do this and it'll no doubt be the hardest challenge for me, but I'll hold myself accountable OK so... I've lost one stone and feel a lot better for it, actually just over so I'll keep going, it just takes me longer than I'd like
