Cert goals for 2023 - End of year

Well it's December 2023, just two weeks left of the year. So following on from this and this thread, it's update time... How have you been getting on with your goals?

So the following where my goals:
1. 4th Dan in Tang Soo Do (karate) - this has been pushed back until next year ❌
2. Gain the CEH - Dropped this goal, failed the exam by 1 or 2 questions, and too expensive to retake ❌
3. Gain my Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security - They haven't released my final grade yet, so these results won't be available until next year. ❌
4. Gain my Cisco Cyber Ops Associate certification - the only goal I actually achieved... ✔️
5. Gained my Oracle Infrastructure Certified Foundations Associate certification, however this was a non-goal. ✔️

But there is always next year...

So what about all of you?

Thanks very much for continuing the very long tradition of doing this now and mid year Ken. I think it's very important to hold ourselves accountable for achieving our goals. You've made great progress there. Typically things don't always go our way but as you show there, pushing on regardless is the key to success in any of it isn't it. Great work on the Oracle exam, I know a little about their technology and how they differentiate from other Hyperscalers. Gov cage and UK security clearted staff etc, great stuff in addition to the standard hyperscaler stuff.

This year my goals were:
Renew my VCP DCV ✔️
Renew my VCP Cloud ✔️
Renew VCAP. So time poor due to account changes in work ❌
Pass Google Cloud Digital Leader cert ✔️

I have to say, you've beat the number of met goals I met this year

 

Ah yes but not fairly as I work for a company that make our exams and I’m ‘encouraged’ to sit a few ha ha. You do amazing mate. You’re one of the most impressive learners I know. You’re always bettering yourself and expanding your skills. Most impressive

 

You too mate... It's great to see you do all your professional exams, and it's good to see your company "encourage" you (although, maybe the level of encouragement could be different, haha)
