You've really got to read those descriptions carefully.

Seem to remember people paying for empty PS2 boxes a few years a go as well.

Why are these people so stupid!

The other story about the GAME manager selling consoles annoys me as well :x

Just had a look. I think the whole 'block-ramble' style of the pitch was probably designed to switch the potential buyer off to the small details. What's scary is, had we not already known, can we be sure we'd have spotted that ourselves?

I'm gonna hope the answer would be yes :D

Glad it didn't cost me nearly £500 to find out.

On another note, that sh1t is just wrong. I understand the whole Caveat Emptor, but should ebay not be held at least partially responsible for allowing the sale to go ahead?

Whilst technically stated that is was just a photo, it was also clearly understated & just briefy mentioned.

Can't help feeling sorry for the buyer. I'm guessing still in their teens & the money had probably been saved for months for said console.

A goodwill gesture on the part of ebay would seem to be in order.

Although obviously, it won't happen

someone sold an Xbox (large plastic storage container) on ebay when the original xbox came out, had a pic, and the description said picture is not an accurate representation lol
