The place where I ordered built it for me, I just ordered what I wanted.

How would I find if there was a hidden partition on it, as in the computer management window it only says there is the one.

Windows wouldn't boot from hard disk or cd when there was a blank screen I could hear the fans running but nothing else, it also sound like the CD drive was trying to kick in but didn't have the power.

I am still thinking its the PSU because its a cheap one, you can get them for 32.99

If nothing is showing in disk management then i would assume that there isnt one, although ive never dealt with them so not 100% sure.

Ive seen systems do this and a CMOS reset has put it right, just move the jumper over on the mobo for 10 seconds, then put it back.

Remove any non essential devices like cd drives etc and see if it boots up ok when it has less load on it, if its ok then, then you know the PSU is at fault.

    What brand is the HDD?

its a western digital 250GB, I am actually using the PC now, it seems fine but I havent tried anything like run any games yet which will cause the system to use more power.

Should I lay off the games if the PSU is dying?

IIRC Noel is having problems with a hiper PSU. I always use seasonic or antec, enermax are good aswell but they are really expensive.

I'm thinking BIOS/mobo issue? 137gb is the limit where LBA ends - you need to enable the big disk support (XP SP1 or higher) to see any more or perhaps a BIOS upgrade.
