    Hi All,

I've noticed that more than a few of us got our 685/686 Pro exams for free and thought I'd set up a thread for us all to share and jot down our thoughts and experiences as its hard to find much info on beta exams.

I'm assuming you all have VMware Workstation, Hyper-V or physical kit to practice on as we'll have to deploy images to clients etc.

I decided to combine this into a thread for both Pro exams as they are both based on Win 7 and will hopefully have some overlap.

70-685 Objectives. I've printed these and tick off the things I've practiced.
    70-686 Objectives.

You wil need a trial copy of Win 7 Enterprise Edition, the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows Automated Installation Kit (1.7GB!).

Just installed the Deployment toolkit which is straight forward enough and has a diagram of how it works in the "Getting Started" Section.

Feel free to contribute anything you feel may help us with these exams or your experience/results etc

    Jim

How is everyone getting on studying for these betas? I haven't had two minutes to study this week due to work. I'm going to simulate some network installs using the AIK after my tea, try and get zero touch setup. I'm using 2008 R2 Hyper-V to host my VM's.

I wil try and post more on this thread the next few days as my exams are booked for next thursday.

Has anyone used the Volume Activation Management Tool yet? I haven't used a MAK before.

OK change of heart time. Seriously not enough hours in the day for me to sit these and I need to finish my MCSE and spend more time with my family.

Anyone want the free voucher numbers for these two exams?
