I have lost 24 pounds, Simon and hope to lose another 24 pounds. The key, Simon, is willpower.

Well, since what I want is dependant on how much $$$ is on our bank account, I'll ask for the same thing again this year.....

Hmmm.... I always thought it was "won't" power. I "won't" eat that candy. I "won't" snack between meals. I "won't" be a couch potato.

I have a one word Christmas wish list:
    1. Job
LOL. You want a sad Christmas tale?

I haven't been able to buy my wife, or anyone else, a Christmas present for 3 years. I really don't care if I get any presents or not, but not being able to give them really sucks.

The best Christmas I ever had my wife and I decided that I would give my entire paycheck for two weeks to a family that had nothing. If you don't believe it's better to give than to receive try it with someone in your neighborhood, or in your community that you know is hurting. The internal rewards you will get will last far longer than any big boy's toy you will ever get.

Thanks for that thoughtful message, freddy! :)
Christmas morning, I will be in church at our service. That's how I want to spend some time on Christmas Day. :)

That was an exceptionally selfless thing to do :respct

Christmas is a sad time for many people. My neighbour/friend was rushed into hospital yesterday because they discovered bowel cancer. He has had to have his lower large intestine removed. His wife and two kids are beside themselves with worry.

There is always somebody worse off than ourselves and we should focus on those people and not get sucked into the consumer game.

Your job will come soon Freddy, I can feel it in my water 8)

Do something for them. Make sure it's a Christmas they won't forget because someone did something special for them in their time of need, and it will be the Christmas you'll remember when all the others are long since forgotten.

I will have a chat to my wife tonight, I am not sure what we can do really, they are not hard up as such. Just sad and worried.

Then invite them over for Christmas dinner. Take them out for dinner every night for a week. Do something to help relieve the stress. It doesn't have to be financially huge, they just need to know someone really cares in their time of need.

Just taking the duty off the wife of having to cook Christmas dinner would probably be greatly appreciated. That will be a really painful thing for her to do this year.
