Like pirated software etc? Cant say I would give someone a lecture about it.. I can see both-sides of the argument.

Just pay for it. If you don't think it's worth the money you probably don't need it anyway!

When someone or many people have worked hard to create something that people feel they can just take for free, it can ruin companies and careers. I think if you want something pay for it. Ironically by not paying you just increase the chance that the thing you got, a game or music or whatever will be the last of its kind because the person or company has gone bust. When I like something I want to pay to keep it going. Keep the DLC coming or the next book or movie. Just my two cents and the way I live my life. Not preaching. I am a big fan of things like steam and gog and Udemy and Netflix and Spotify that make big efforts to make things affordable to the masses. Long may they continue

Its not good to pirate software, like Jim said, I believe in paying for software that I use daily, its the principle for me. Applies to games too...

On a side note, I've never trusted pirated software.

I'd imagine pirate material is ideal to embed worms and Trojans into, maybe I'm no expert

Pretty easy to embed stuff, especially when people have to use cracks to disable activation, etc.

I used to pirate the odd software program (Doom when it was first released only required you to add the full game PAK file to the demo to make it the full game) but many years ago I went down the route of everything being legal, I pay yearly for various subscriptions and don't really care that I do. It's so much harder these years, especially with online requirements. It's just not worth the hassle any more.
