Have you ever used Virtual Labs to assist with your training
doesnt matter for what cert, or even for just 'playing', have you used any and if so which ones?

Microsoft's got some online virtual sandbox labs that I've used. Pretty cool setup!

Amazingly, I haven't yet used Boson's NetSim product. At some point, I'm sure I will... but I've got a lab full of real routers that I can access here in the office.

EDIT: I've used VMWare and VirtualPC... thought you meant actual virtual labs, not just virtual OSes.

 

I use VMware Workstation 5.5...primarily for writing books at this point. In just about all my writing, I have to produce a bunch of "labs" for the book and working on the platform in question in a virtual environment is a must.

 

So far I've used Wmware mostly (workstation and server).

 

I've used some, but mostly just to play around and see how they compare to the real thing. As for a lab, I have access to multiple racks (mostly Cisco) so that's where I really have some fun

 

VPC and VMware (Server and Wkstn) and the ones available on the Microsoft site.

Mainly to test stuff and a bit of self teaching

 

I am using virtual PC at the moment for use with my studies for the N+ and MCDST after I have got used to virtual PC I intend to swap over to vmware so I am competent in both.

 

VMWare Fusion and Server, Microsoft Virtual PC, and Shortly ESX.

 

Just Virtual PC so far..........

 

VMWare server and workstation and now also with ESX. Played around a little with Virtual PC and server from MS but didn't like them much.

 

Just VMWare. Waiting for my Technet to arrive and shall crack on with loads more.

 

I have used most of them. As a trainer I need to know what a student can and cannot do and what is in it.

 

VMware server on XP. Works a treat.

I use Vmware workstation did use server also.

I tried virtual PC but after using vmware I found it limiting.

 

VMware Server and Player, Virtual Server and VirtualPC, and VirtualBox.

 

In that case I'll change my vote to no. I haven't used them.

 

Only VMWare workstation for me - and then not in too much detail
