    The only things I would add to this are;

A car is designed to drive, corner and brake with a certain wheel/tyre size. Not to say you can't change it, but by doing so you alter the geometry of the car.

Buy the best tyres you can afford. I have seen loads of cars with very expensive wheels on but tyres that I wouldn't put on a wheel barrow.

Notify your insurance company. Not just because of theft but in the event of a claim an *engineer* will come to the repair centre to check your vehicle. Don't forget, they like taking your money.......

Autolock the doors when pulling away, activates at about 7mph.

    1. Turn on the ignition so all the dash lights come on but don't start the engine.

    2. Lock the door using the button on the door handle and then unlock the door (but don't open it) 3 times.

    Then turn off the ignition.

    3. Lock the door using the button on the door handle and then unlock the door (but don't open it) 3 times.

    4. Turn on the ignition but dont start the engine
    A beep should be heard

    5. Lock the door again as before then unlock it (only once this time)

A final beep should be heard.

You might discover that you have footwell lights in your car already, just missing the bulbs!

If you sit in your drivers seat, and run your hand down the center of the plastic beyond the steering wheel, and in line with the brake pedal - you'll find a screw - this holds the bottom on the dash in place. If you go past this, and just to the right, you'll feel a little hole - this is the bulb holder.

Have you thought of getting the ST220 18 spoke alloys m8? You can get them off ebay pretty cheap now - with those and your motor lowered it'll look lik an ST! Same chassis etc so you shouldn't have any handling issues!

See if you can get the ST foglights m8 - they look a lot meaner then the standard jobbies.

Too true bud! A tyre company fitted W rating contis to my ST - the spec should have been Y and I was told by ford that my insurance would be invalidated if I had an accident!!! I just assumed the tyre fitter would put the correct the speed rating on...evidently not!!! Luckily they're all Y rating now...phew!!!

In that case Sach, the responsibility comes back to the tyre company.
When I had a company car (oh, i miss it!), we had to use Kwik Fit. The deal was that they either had to replace the tyre like for like, or match the axle set at their cost. It was always best to go for a set of Mich. :D
When i was on the tools I used to work in a main dealer that had a busy bodyshop. You wouldn't believe some of the stories!
