Around a month ago i posted looking for help with a presentation for an interview. Well, I was offered the job this week and shall snap it up. I could tell that the panel were impressed with the subject of my presentation as it was a bit more daring than the rest they had seen. I suggested they migrate their system (around 8000 users) to linux wheras most other applicants (who had applied internally unlike me) presented on a document management system. The mention that I was self studying for certifications went down well also.

So, I would like to say thank you as your helpful suggestions were greatly appreciated.

As I recall, I didn't actually participate in that Thread, although I read it with interest. However, I'd like to say congratulations, and very well done to you mate. Good luck with your new venture.

I think you should go for it. Have them put in bids with Red Hat and Novell and see which one will make the better offer.

Not sure what the job role is yet. I got the impression that they were recruiting several staff for various roles varying from programmers to server administration and desktop support. Specifics will be discussed after references have been checked and disclosure certificate has come through. Looking forward to it though!
