    Hi guys,

I posted a few weeks back regarding IT careers etc and moving forward- will be replying in that tonight, as I have had some great replies.

Anyway, I've been contacted about an amazing opportunity working for a Virtual consultancy company as a junior analyst. Role involves.

Key areas for this role are as follows:

    · Active directory experience (creating new users, groups, GPO’s)

    · Experience with Exchange 2003 - 2013

    · Be able to run with daily backup checks

    · Manage other reactive alerts such as backup job failures

    · Virtualisation experience beneficial

anyway, the recruiter advised he would email some tips through but hasnt.
My telephone interview is tommorow, I'm not worried, as I have a good technical background.

So I haven't created GPO'S- group policies before.
    and don't have virtualization experience.
also don't deal directly with exchange, although we do have full AD access to an extent

I'm researching the company tonight, and just need some advice.

the plan is from my side.

research active directory, rolling out AD over virtual servers, GPOS,

I'm familiar with creating users, copying via object tab in AD, disabling users, unlocking, moving accounts, gpedit /force, gpedit.msc- for proxy settings on certain machines.

    any advice would be great.

with this being a junior role, id like to say I'm familiar with vmware etc, any advice?

    hope you guys can help.

I got bed at like 11:30pm may be an all nighter lol

    :)

Just be honest with your answers mate - any BS can be detected quickly.

If you have a good technical background then you should be fine. :)

Go with what Sparky has said here, dont try and pull the wool over their eyes etc as you will be found out. I had an interview yesterday and i was asked a question that i had not the faintest idea of, so i was honest and told them this, which i think seemed to work in my favour

Do not lie and get yourself stuck!

I've been interviewing lately after returning from travelling. I got a 2nd interview on friday and I was honest about everything. If they ask you if you have experience In something and you don't just say "unfortunately not" or "not yet but I'm hoping to pick those skills up soon" if that is the case.

Glad I didnt bend the truth as he fired some good questions at me!
