Hi im currently up to Lesson 9 in Section 2 Part A of the CIW Website Design managers course.Quite confusing, only understanding snippets, not the whole lot.

Has anyone/everyone been in same situation.

Read a book to learn to basics of Javascript and the DOM, then go and learn JQuery.
