So after A+ and Net+, what type of job can you do?

So, I've passed the A+ and am about to take the N+.

What I want to know is, after those two, what type of job can you really be expected to do with just those two certs?

And, anyone here who is in a managerial or hiring position, what type of position would you put someone with just those two certs? Would you even hire them if all they had was that and no actual background working in it?

Just looking for entry level work and everything is "senior" this or "senior" that...or they want 2+ years of experience or a bachelor's...

With both those certs, you're still looking at first line roles. Such as:

IT Helpdesk, Helpdesk Administrator, IT Technician, First-Line Technician etc.


Apply for any jobs if they ask with a minimal amount of experience, explain that your certifications require a practical element to them in which you consider experience. While it isn't work-based, it shows you can take a PC apart and so on.

Have you got any retail/customer support experience? As that is what first-line roles are generally based around, so using that can help as well.
