I think that I'm up to level 9, haven't bought the horse (but do have the option to steal it). I've been using my money for skills training. Currently I'm not concentrating on the main quest, rather the quests for the companion (warrior) guild.

Ah... I've been doing the main dragon quests which have been fun, to say the least!

Going to take a break from those tonight and do some of the outstanding/optional side quests.

Saving up enough now to buy a house (5000 gold required) to dump all my stuff in. :)

Nope. I really hated them too.

With all the recent talk about Skyrim, I thought I'd give Oblivion another crack... and it's just... boring.

No interest in picking this one up whatsoever.

I'll just wait till it gets delivered by lovefilm in six months time.

I very quickly grew bored of Morrowind (I think that was the one I played anyway). It just seemed so BIG, and I didnt really know what to do.

Bought Skyrim for the PC, but thought I wasn't going to be able to play it. It kept crapping out the GFx, forcing me to reboot and, when I rebooted, the POST screen was showing graphical anomalies (its an 8800GTS). It was doing this even on the lowest settings, and an update to the driver didnt fix it.

As a last resort, I tried the beta driver from NVidia, and so far so good.

In terms of gameplay.... I'm undecided. I'm at around level 10-ish at the moment, and feel a little of the lostness I felt before. It's not too bad though. Already been stomped on by a couple of dungeon bosses so there are some non-scaling critters out there (Apparently a big complaint about Oblivion).

Who needs to spend money on fad diets and gym memberships to lose weight? Just buy Skyrim, insert disc, and forget you were meant to do anything else (including eating) for... err... all weekend :blink

Yup - 54 hours played and rising - it's a fantastic time sink. I really should do some more of the main line quests!

What level have you managed to get to with that many hours of gameplay?

Well since the release of Skyrim, I'm now level 15 and now the "leader" of the Companions guild.

I'm thinking now of either the mage line or the Assassins line, I'll do the thief's one last, me thinks... The main quest can wait :)

Just started playing last night and only half way through level 1

I am used to grinding for experience but in this game its not like that at all, non the less the game is still great.

Interesting, I backed out of the companions line when they wanted me to join the inner circle including what that meant (trying not to give away spoilers) as I didn't want that. Doing the Thief quests at the moment which in more in keeping with my sneak/archer character.

I'm at level 22 or so atm.

    Interesting reads.

I've not long done Bleak Falls Barrow, and have learned 2 shouts. I've also joined the college at Winterhold, and am about to start the quests there that bump you to Archmage (should complete that little pickle tonight). I reached Level 11 a side-quest after Bleak Falls. Am a High Elf concentrating on alchemy, short blade and destruction magic (with a little bit of restoration).

Only around lvl 23 and a bit - playing it on expert so it takes a few attempts to slaughter those dragons and dungeon bosses. Plus I keep doing misc and side quests, I should do more main storyline but the thieves guild keeps calling too me.

Hillarious Blood Dragon and Snow Bear fight last night :)

Awesome :) I must admit I haven't checked what level I'm playing it at. Now level 13, so probably easy, I'll have to log on and check!

Bit miffed that a sabre cat thinger killed my horse on the way up to the throat of the world - that cost me 1000 gold!! Luckily I remembered the one I stole from the bandits near Whitrun and left near the Whitrun stables :)

Do you guys tend to fast travel everywhere, or do you go around on foot to try to increase experience?

I tend to walk to the new cities via quest places, I've not used the wagons, but I do now fast travel between the places I know - and I still keep finding odd towers hidden out of the way while wandering around. It's massive :)

My wife's comment last night when she was trying to usher me to bed was "That thing's worse than WoW" - puts it in perspective.
