Just found this, i would suspect this will be aimed at the ex military among us cause it does require you to be security cleared SC. But if your I.T is any good and you might be intrested here is the link

    http://www.jobsearch.co.uk/show_job.cgi?j=5284718

I would suspect this will be a tax free offering

If im not alound to post anything like this up let me know and i will remove it ASAP, just trying to help out some brothers in arms

200 quid a day? In a place like that?

You have got to be having a Danny - I'm on more than that and the most dangerous place I have to go to is bloody Maidenhead!

Nice to see NATO is ahead of the curve when it comes to IT though - Exchange 5.5? Jesus wept, even the Old Bill were on 2K3!!

Thats why its mainly aimed at the ex military, Kabul is a safe location (depending where you are ), and for nearly 80k a year that is pretty good and the going rate usually alot less, i have seen some jobs for as little as 35k, even the close protection side of things dont pay that much

How do you make that 80k a year?

    I make it:
    (12 x 1150) = 13800
    (12 x 1150) = 13800
    (12 x 1150) = 13800
    (4 x 1150) = 4600
= 46000 plus whatever bonus they are offering

LOL - always read the small print! - though, to be fair, its ALL small print there :biggrin

I can just imagine what my wife would say:

"Honey, I'm taking a new contract - its overseas"
"Oh, really? Where is it - Amsterdam? New York? Paris? Munich?"
    "No... Afghanistan..."

Lets just say that whatever she said would be said spitefully

Alright it's dangerous, but more people get stabbed murdered and raped in the UK on a daily basis than in the military bases in kabul. it would be a pretty sweet adventure me thinks, nice tan, great weather, lots of things to see, pictures to take, hell, I need SC right now and i'll apply :biggrin

Thats true, also i would very much doubt you will not go out side of the grounds, cause there is no requirement for you to do so.

Not to Hijack this thread, but working abroad is something I am really interesting in doing, has anyone got any experience of going from the UK to abroad ? how did that route go ? what steps did you have to take et cetera ?
