Just use the MS WinDbg tool. You'll also need all the symbol files (around 250Mb, depending on which flavour of Windoze you're running)

In honor of my 50th post, I want to share a very nice program for analyzing .dmp files:

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html It's freeware and extremely useful! :)

Windbg only works on Windows 7 from what I saw and we are still running XP :( Good suggestion though.

Agreed - it's small simple and quick, works well for an initial peek.

What? I've used WinDBg for about ten years. It most certainly DOES work on XP - and 2000, And 2003 Server, and NT

    Zeb's right.

You can find the complete drivers kit including the Microsoft WinDbg debugger tool here, and a video on it's use here.
