No no, I Did the online Red Hat Linux Essentials Course RH033, I studied the book mentioned above AND I did the course RH133 all before taking the exam RH202.

The course and exam together came to just under £1800 GBP.

Well they state that you need to have done the Linux Essentials course OR have the same level of knowledge required. Basically if they think you are not up to the level required for the RH133 course they can kick you out.

Paddy you need to check out http://www.xpertise.co.uk/

Value Added Tax is 17.5% but it does make it a damned site more expensive. I;d love to do the RHCE. But the RH253 networking course is a prerequisite to get on the RHCE Fast Track course and RH253 along is about £1800 with the VAT.

Hope to get somewhere which will continue to train me!

Yes indeed. They have a lab server you can connect to to practice if you dont have access to a machine for some things to. Good content in the one I did but a few typo's in the material here and there.

    https://www.redhat.com/training/elearning/

You can do even the Linux Sys Admin course which is the prep for RHCT and the RH253 networking one too. Might look into the online RH253 myself, but the instructor led courses are far superior. They are aimed at companies really, not individuals which explains the price they sit at.
