Just passed my Network+, got 824. Took me about 3 weeks to study (1-2 hours a day), used the Network+ passport book, the prof. messer videos and as many free practice questions I could get my hands on (found about 500 online).

Wouldnt recommend the passport book, I think it misses some details out and the practice exam on the CD is very poor, has mistakes and its only 100 questions not 200 like it says on the cover. Fortunately I was able to find alot of practice questions to shore up my weaknesses and got the pass.

Was surprised at the score, I thought I would only barely scrape it.

MCDST is next, and really focusing on my job hunt. Ive got another interview on monday (had 2 so far) so hopefully will land a job soon. My goal is to get a job by the end of this year!

I'm still on the first read-through of the N+ AIO! I intend to be cert'd by the end of Nov.

Good Luck with the Job Interview on Monday! I'm trying to complete my A+ by the end of the year then move onto the N+. Think my N+ will need to be taken next year though.

Thank you, I have a good background in networking from Uni so alot of the knowledge I was quite familiar with. I found the level of difficulty of question similar to the A+ practical applications, also the passing score is 720 for this one which is a bit higher than A+ (675 and 700).

Yes 3 years of networking modules at University so I already had a solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, Routing, the OSI model etc. just had to learn the more practical troubleshooting concepts and some other bits and bobs.

 

Congrats. I took my N+ in Aug. and just finished my S+ (which I found harder than the N+). Carry on and good luck!
