Congratulations, Becki. Well done. The score isn't really meaningful since you are now a Network+ certified technician regardless of how well you scored.

Nah... she wouldn't do that... she'll have listened, taken all the advice in from CF, learned from the glitch on the A+ and passed it the self-study way. :D

    Congrats on the pass...

Congrats on the pass Becki, although studying for the Network+ myself, I have to ask, what materials did you use? I felt I breezed past the A+ and yet finding N+ alot more to take it, how you manage it so quick!?

...the very same week she passes the A+? :blink

I hope you're right... but it typically take more than 5 days to self-study for an exam unless you've got experience.

Nope i havent used them tests, i have been studying both since october, putting in 110%, i mean i wasn't even out at xmas because i was putting the work in and of course dont forget i am a woman and multi-tasking is my thing lol

ive done a couple of hours of revision on A+ and then another couple of N+, doing different subjects, and then the next night try a sybex test (for N+) and aswell as all the work i'm putting in at my training academy

The A+ & N+ in same week was suspicious.

I honestly cant see how you can struggle with the A+ 601, and then pass that and the Net+ in a week.

*But* if you say you've worked hard for them and not cheated, then good luck to you. I just hope your not kidding yourself, because the only person who will suffer in the long term is you; when your being questioned in an interview, or sitting in front of a network thats down with 100 staff doing nothing and an angry boss waiting for you to fix the issue. Its always better to take 3 times as long to pass, knowing the material inside out, then having a piece of paper saying pass, which means nothing because you dont fully understand the technology.

i have been studying for it FULL TIME (may i add:dry) since the end of November, i was given the microsoft books for N+ from my training academy as well as using the sybex and the big thick N+ book (mike meyers). suprisingly once i had managed to get my head around some things like the osi model and drummed it into my self when it came to the exam i was suprised how much came flooding back to me, things like port numbers and what happens if certain ones are blocked and like that you can authenticate a SMTP by using a POP3 email..... Also doing things helped aswell, luckily enough i had a copy of server 2003 with my books from my TC (training centre) so i could play around with it on virtual PC

Oh and Michael that A+ exam was a 601 re-take so it was just revision needed for that exam!
