Hi guys, quick question about outlook.
Trying to set up work email at home. Put in the mail server, username and PW seemed to all work fine, passed the little send/receive test it runs and hit finish.
It synchronised all the IMAP folders no problem. Receives fine, but a few hours later noticed that no one is receiving mail from me. It goes to sent box (not stuck in outbox) but its not getting there.

Might be a rookie question but if anyone can offer something to try to fix would be great. Ta?

What ISP's SMTP server are you using? Try sending one to yourself and see if it arrives

    Things to check:

Make sure mail account is your work account i.e mail.crazyplace.net
Make sure your user name and password are the same as at work.
make sure POP3 is same as incoming mail is same as at work
make sure SMTP is same as outgoing mail at work

Make sure port 25 is SMTP and POP3 is 110
make sure local area network is selected

    thanks for the help guys

    All the settings were fine.
think server was set up to only allow internal IP addresses to send mail.

Just set up a remote desktop which worked out a lot better.

    Problem solved, thanks guys
