GBL, I concur. It's the likely scenario though. Sadly we vote for style and not substance in this country. If we didn't we wouldn't be ageist and prevent people like Vince Cable from standing for the leadership of their parties. Of all of the 600+ politicians in the Commons, he's the most competent when speaking about anything concerning the economy (and yes I know he's an economist by trade). If you think Cameron's clueless, consider this: George Osbourne would be Chancellor of the Exchequer!

Actually, that's not quite true. If nothing else, the president selects justices for the Supreme Court... 4 of which are likely to retire (or die) within the next 4 years. Liberal judges = liberal interpretation of the Constitution, and conservative judges = conservative interpretation of the Constitution... which greatly affects things here.

I don't try to "convert" others. However, I do spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ... because I've been commanded to do so. To not do so would be to disobey God. I only tell the message to those who want to hear, and if they "convert", that's between them and God - I just give the message. If you choose to not hear, that's fine... just politely tell me you don't want to hear it. Then I've done what I'm supposed to do by offering, and you stay "safe" by not listening to what I have to say.

 

Why was he most likely dark skinned? Uh... because most of the people in that area were dark skinned.

Because he's traditionally been portrayed as white. Just means they were wrong in their portrayals. Doesn't really matter what skin color he had... does it?

 

I'm still thinking that the Chtulu/Crud Puppy ticket was the one I wanted to see win.
