    Just passed my Nutanix Platform Professional exam in my 2nd attempt with 84%.

    Happy to say most of the answers were from knowledge/memory and my notes, and rest from the web console guide.

    A few trick questions for anyone interested in sitting the exam. Would like to say I'm pleased but I've already started planning for my next certification... possibly the Nutanix Support Specialist :)

    Did you play with the Community Edition at all? I am intrigued by the Nutanix product but it's quite expensive, great for a new environment where you don't have existing networking\storage\compute.

    We've got a number of Nutanix blocks in our organisation, so I had some experience in installing and working with the kit in a production environment.

    You're right, it is very expensive... we are not even allowed to have a test block. Everything had to go straight into production. A bit annoying all our upgrades are implemented straight to our production kit.

    Yes and no, this is hyper-converged infrastructure rather than coverged, essentially each box contains compute, storage and networking, it's a self contained environment that scales with additional boxes.

    It's really pretty damned clever but is expensive. I would love to have the chance to play with it.

    Nutanix are definitely a company to watch, they are exploding in the storage scene (loads of VCDX's on their books as well).

    Have a play if you can, I would also suggest having a look at PureStorage as well, it's not HCI but it is really good storage.

    Behave, your knowledge is very impressive, credit where credit is due. For a while now I know what I need to know, not a lot more. I need to change that if I'm to adapt quicker to changes in IT. I don't do bad, just feel unaware of a lot that's going on lately. Stuck in 2012 :(
