    Hi, Im new

    Great site for the IT community to get involved with.

    Im studying for a masters in computer science right now, hoping to get into networking when I graduate.

    Any advice on getting a foot in the door will be greatly apreciated.

    Do you have any real-world IT experience yet? If not, you should do everything you can to build business IT experience before you graduate. To get into networking, you'll need experience, first and foremost. :)

    yeah like the guys have said, real world experience is a must. you could try doing some Voluntary IT work just to get a bit of experience it all adds up in the end - good luck buddy.

    As far as getting experience, many colleges around here are always looking for interns to do entry level work. It's a good jumping on point for IT major's to start to get hands on experience.
