    Hi all. I intend to do MCSE. I need advice on what tools I need in my lab.

    Hi & welcome to CF, glad you've joined :)

    Question number 1: Do you...

    If not, then I strongly recommend you not to do this until you do. I would recommend you starting off to build your basic's with the A+, Network+ and the MCDST, then build on them.

    If you do, then you should already know what you need... The number of server's you require for a multi-site and multi-domain environment, plus the PC's you need in those sites and domain. Real or virtual for your test environment, it's up to you :)

    Thanx for your quick reply. I have more than 3 years of experience in IT. But not in planning, designing and implementing MS server solutions. If I were to start with 20-270 for instance what would I need

    To start with the 70-270, the minimum required would be 1 server & 1 PC. I say that as the Microsoft 70-270 classes that I teach require each student to have 1 PC with access to the server.
