Seems like the patch KB 951748 which was released 7th July and ZoneAlarm versions 6 and above don't work well together - actually they stop all traffic from IE - I got caught unawares tonight

This is related to the DNS patch mentioned earlier.

Fixes include:
1) Roll back the patch.
2) Put your DNS IP in the trusted zone
3) (Inadvisable) reduce the 'Internet Zone' down to 'Medium'.

(All these from reading - I haven't allowed the patch on my system yet!)

Good thing I don't use ZA anymore or else for sure I would get caught.

 

Went for the uninstall of the MS update. A new versions of ZA was release and now its all running again properly!
