Hey guys im new around here and this is my first post. Great forum you guys have! I got a question hopefully I can get some help or anwsers regarding my question. I am not from the UK im currently residing in the US.

My questions is that I will be taking my Comptia Network+ certification soon and my usualy study method is going over key facts in my book and Test King. I have a friend that has the Test King for Network+ that I need but he got it a while ago. My question is does anyone know what the latest version of the Testking N+ N10-002 is? I would simply borrow his instead of buying my own, but I don't wana take the risk of studying outdated information. Any help would be great!

I'm pretty new to this forum and I'm not aware of the rules concerning brain dumps, so I'll just say this. Brain dumps are not an ethical way to study for any IT certification. Find another source for your test questions such as Transcenders, SelfTestSoftware, etc....

I worked hard for my certs and it irritates me when people people cheat to pass the exams I worked hard to pass. It devalues certifications for everyone when someone cheats. Find a legitimate way to pass the tests.

chop do you know that test king is a brain dump and what a brain dump is? They are stolen or made up questions from a cert exam. They are illegal and Freddy is right about it making the cert worthless. When you pass a cert you want to know you did it on your merit. Not by cheating. Because anybody that has to pass an exam by cheating is no tech. Hes just a smuck with a worthless piece of paper.

We do not approve BD's here and you will not get no help with them here. If you need help with real studying than we will do all we can for you.

i went through a training course for this as i did for my A+ and MCP, i dont not rely on test king 100% its a source i use to test myself at the end of my study sessions... i do not consider it cheating unless u solely rely on it... and i find you narrow minded for saying you would be a smuck with a paper... people have different techniques and sources of studying.. i work as a system administrator for a small corporation and i do a excellent job at what i do.. i was promoted 2 months into the job... i did use test king for my A+ software, i didnt not study just test king, as i mentioned above my technique of studying and i deal with operating systems problems everday and have developed one of the best trouble shooting techniques (in my own opinion) but the only person that would be a smuck would be the guy sittin on the couch doing nothing with his life

and i hate to burst your bubble but braindumps are legal

i also apologize i did not know that you guys had rules against this.. and also did not mean any offense by this post..

so what should i study for then?
i ordered a network+ voucher and am confused as which test i would take the N10-002 or N10-003?

According to Comptia, N10-002 was retired on 30/7/05

    http://www.comptia.org/about/pressroom/get_pr.aspx?prid=624

So you would be best studying to N10-003 objectives.

Ummmmmmm no they aren't, they are copyright material that is being distributed without the owners permission. To my knowledge Testking have been forced shut down at least once because of this. They were known as another name previously, cant remember what right now, they resurfaced as TestKing.

i thought these were legal as i thought they were just test prep material.. it actually is test prep material just stolen questions from the actual exams... i thought they were legal because one of my teachers told us about them a while ago.. didnt think a teacher would tell us to study illegal material, sorry

    Actually, they would
I was working for the british government for a while, and the guys there were using test kings that were given to them by thier trainer (big corporate passport type training contract)

    so yes, they will
    no, they dont care

and you could do yourself a favor and actually listen to the guys here, you came here for help, were happy to give it, but if you have been misled in anyway, we will tell you, you would expect us to tell you if someone had told you there were only 3 levels of RAID wouldnt you? precisely

please get off your high horse, and accept the helpful advice that is being offered

    brain dumps are bad
    brain dumps ARE illegal
and test king are brain dumps

    see the connection there?

Whilst we have no problem with people asking about such things by mistake, not realising what they are, were not too fond of people who still swear by them and think they are the bees knees, you wont likely find many people here, or on any respectable IT forum, who are willing to help you if you insist on using braindumps

However saying that, were more than willing to help anyone, even more so the ones who have been mislead my training providors and tutors

I also had teachers point me towards just about every braindump site in existance a couple of years ago. Hey, they were a Certified Microsoft Partner and they were pointing their students to braindumps to pass Microsoft courses. They actually had big posters on the wall with all the url's to braindump sites. Why? So they'll look good when their students pass the exams. They had the ethics of gutter snipes.

It was funny how fast that poster came down when I asked if Microsoft knew they were pointing people to braindumps. Funny how their attitude towards me changed too. For some reason they just didn't like me very much after that.

Guess I'll add my 2 cents about braindumps. Even if they don't violate criminal law (which I think they do in terms of publishing copyrighted material), they certainly break civil law. When a test taker goes to a testing center, they digitally sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) stating that they will not disclose any of the testing content under any circumstances. Of course, in order to contribute to the brain dump, they spill their guts about as much content as they can recall right after the test. When you sign a contract with another party and you break it, they have the right to sue your pants off.

Either way, contributing to a brain dump is just plain wrong and using one for study is just another way to promote people on the wrong side of the fence.

Chop if you are already in the field. Then why do you need a cheat sheet? You don't. You already have the upper hand on alot of the newbies here that are breaking into the field and they pass these test by legal studying and hard work. Their is no good excuse to use brain dumps. You break trade secret laws when you do. And if Microsoft ever catches you using them for one of their exams they will pull the certs you have and you will never be able to sit for another one, let alone jail time and money they may sue for. CompTIA has sued and won against Brain dumps sites they help in shutting these people down. And they are given the brain dumps list of customers.
