    Hi Guys,

I am starting to study for A+ and wanted to order the above mentioned book but no one in UK that I have tried seems to have it in stock. If anyone knows where I can order one please let me know. Many thanks

    Hi

The book has only literally just been published I believe, and all stock has gone out straight away, I'm not entirely sure when the stock will be refilled but like I say it has literally just delivered to the publishers so will take a short while (check the status of it on the Mcgraw Hill website http://www.mcgraw-hill.co.uk/html/0072263113.html).

    Keep looking though :thumbleft

The book is out but amazon uk doesnt have it yet. Amazon US does have it but might not be worth it because of delivery charges

I went to order this through amazon.com myself, but couldnt due to not having a cedit card:(

Anyway total price quoted to me, including postage was just under $49, which works out around 24 quid.

now im positive i paid more than that for the 2003 version:S

    bugger

The dollar is something like 1.91, to the pound at the moment, :biggrin hence the price from america

The one being published in july 2007, is a A+ specifications book and caters for the 640-203 exam and the 640-204 exam, not the essentials and the other exam need to pass the basic A+

    I think:blink

And the 6th edition still works out cheaper to buy from the US than from the uk:(

and off topic but, Zimbo are you on the FM forums?, youe signature looks familar

which FM forum you talking about mate? and the A+ book isnt the only book cheaper from the US, if you look at this thread you will notice that the new books for the Vista exam will also be cheaper from the US!

I recieved the Mike Myers sixth edition via Amazon in the US which
only took around 10 days to arrive and at a cracking price of £25
    with p&p.
I have to say that being a newbie it was a bit of shock when i came across the second chapter on Microprocessors.
I now realize its going to take some serious studying and 100% commitment of my free time judging by the first 100 pages.
