    Anyone planning on going for this?

    I'll need to get my MCITP:EA first but this looks really interesting. Keep me entertained until I get a vBlock course at least :)

    I'm planning to take the 659 exam so I would only need the new exam to get it all. I will certainly give it some consideration. Something tells me I might not get round to the 659 before that January date though, oh well.

    Have many on here done the MCITP Virtualisation Admin I wonder? I wonder if any of you are Hyper-V admins? All ESX myself but I passed the old Hyper-V exam and really enjoyed learning it all

    Were VMWware but we are moving to Hyper V . This makes more sense for our environment and our licensing scheme.

    Nice one mate. How will you go about it do you mind me asking? Can you convert vmdk's to vhd's?

    Ah quick Google shows SCVMM can do it. I'm assuming you'll have that. How do you find it? I've not used it before tbh

    Sweet! My lab is getting yet another refresh now. SCVMM Trial from MS. I didn't realise I could get a trial of this.

    To be honest, I'm not that impress with Windows 2008 (r2) VDI (this would cover exam 669). However all our virtual servers are on Hyper-V, so we are "Hyper-V Admins" - but not enough for the VA route (tbh, at the minute I'm kinda tired of MS certifications).

    We're going to start deploying a VDI solution from Citrix, so we may do an exam or two from Citrix.

    But I do have to say that the VDI solution from MS with Server 8 looks interesting, that maybe what brings us back to the fold, the "MS certification track".

    Were still in the planning stages as our agreement will not renew until summer. I will be testing SCVMM conversions as well as more basic backup and restores from SCDPM.

    Hmm.. Looks interesting.. I am probably far away from doing it but I'll definitely look into it once I have some time!

    I just need to fit it in really but my current list is like this:
    Take 70-643 soon
    Degree starts next month
    Fit in 70-647 somewhere between now and end of year (probably after first degree module)
    January new degree module and look a MCITP: VA

    So it looks like I will just miss out on killing 2 birds with one stone with the 70-659. I was however interested in getting some config manager certificates at some point so maybe it wont all be bad.
