    ...for anyone that's interested.

The new job is going really well, putting in lot's of hard work at the moment, so I'm pretty knackerd. Been in training for 3 weeks now, another 4ish to go before they unleash me lol

Seems like a long training period, but we are supporting 3000+ programs, and we must be able to diagnose and fix or dispatch a users problem.

Mainly supporting Lotus Notes (5 and 6.5, both been customised to hell) MS Win2K Pro and XP Pro, About 12 Different VPN/RSA Programs, 100 flavours of SAP, MS office 97 and XP, Visio (not sure of the version yet), everything Adobe, Remedy (a ticket and dispatch program), AutoCAD, SMS and Netmeeting, among a
sh!tload of inhouse programs. I do support many more commercial programs, but I can't think of what they are at the moment. I also need to be able to diagnose H/W problems, we support H/W tokens for remote access, Wireless and Smart Cards. As ou can see, that is allot to take in in a few weeks.

Seems to be a very relaxed atmosphere for such a huge company, and there are ton's and ton's of proceedure's to learn. Everything has to be done a certain way, and go through certain people ect. Can be a pain, but I'm gettin used to that now. :D

Thanks for readin the essay LOL

Wow PB that sounds pretty intense.

They are easing me in a bit easier in my new job, getting to grip with Active Directionary, WS2003, Veritas back up exec and all that. Also I have cancelled my course at the Training camp as the IT manager needs to use loads of training days before the end of the day, thats 2k back....phew.

Also monitoring peoples blocked messages can be amusing, except on Friday when we suffered a mass spam attack with the same message being delivered 18,000 times over night!
