Testing centre was Prometric. The Centre itself, well, this particular one, was very nice, too bad there wasn't a nice babe on the reception desk...

anyway, the testing room itself, was very small and as i was by a wall, it did feel kinda costraphobic...

In all i prefer my normal centre, where i normally, well not *normally*, but the one where i done by A+ in, although the reception area wasn't as nice, but the testing room was much more spacious, which is what counts more...

Nevertheless, the minimum pass mark was 26, and whatyaknow, dejavue! I got 26...

Well done matey! I took mine under the supervision of the examiner - it was written test...you know, you just fill in the blank answer sheet! They then took them away and we had to wait 3 weeks until the results came through! On all the mocks I was scoring below 20 - on the real thing I got 31! Phew...

    Good on ya!

Congrats, it seems weird having a pass mark of 26 when MS, Comptia & Cisco's passmarks are in the hundreds :blink But lets face it, I guess it's about time 1 vendor had a proper scoring system :biggrin

    congrats dude!

26 out of what? and are the questions really question and answer short questions? I have never seen any example questions for this exam, so am unsure of the format...

    congrats once again!

yep 26 out of 40 - and there are 40 questions in total. you have 60mins for the exam itself, 75 if you include the additional crap, which you can skip...

lovely thanks...one more thing, can you confirm format of the questions?

i.e. are these anything close to resembling their question format?

    CHM stands for

    a)Change Management
    b)Customer Help Management
    c)Change Media
    d)Customer Help Module

For which of the following is the Service Desk not responsible
    a) Impact Analysis
    b) Root cause identification
    c) Categrisation and Priority
    d) Escalation

I need to know if I can brainstorm the various study notes people have given, or if I will really need to put a hell of a lot of time into this. I aim to do it side by side with my MCSA, rather then wait until the end.

many thanks, I really appreciate it.

    Well done Mr Cheeks.

    re the question format:-
Can't remember getting any what does xzy stand for questions.
Certainly got some along the lines of the service desk example.

Also got ones with a number of statements along the lines of...
which of the following are characteristics of dogs
    1) 4 legs
    2) Bark
    3) drink beer

is it A) none of them, B) 1&2, c)2&3 or d) all of them.

You might get away with just brainstorming it but I'm not sure.

Careful that you "brainstorm" and not "braindump". Many of the "study notes" out there are illegal collections of questions from the live exam.

Yeah of course, the notes I refer to are like the ones guys have posted in here, and also a colleagues wife is currently doing this through her company, and doesnt mind sharing the material with him and myself - which I am appreciative of obviously :)

I just wanted to know if it was practical or even realisitcally possible to do this along side the MCSA with perhaps taking a week or so out to revise. There doesnt seem to be an awful lot to it to be honest.

LOL - I got that shitty little badge - work also paid for the spiffy silver plaque thingy too. Looks about as tacky as taking a (spit) 'service management' exam made me feel...

Congrats on the pass BTW - don't think I saw this first time round!
