So another new iPhone is set for release, this time bringing two models at once. The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Many people had tipped the 5C being a budget phone, but this just isn't the case with the starting price for the model at £469.

So is it just an iPhone 5 with a "plastic" case?

I'm on my third phone for the year, having owned an iPhone 5 and a BlackBerry Q10. I've just purchased a LG Nexus 4 and am VERY impressed, especially since it was £199.00 for the 16GB version!

A7 sounds good but whats with the dual core obsession, so they can set off fireworks when they release a quad core? Everyone else will be octo by then.

Finger print scanner sounds really cool. No bump in screen res is poor IMHO. iOS 7 looks ace so overall mixed review from me. Certainly almost no incentive for current iphone owners to upgrade I don't think personally but I'm far from an expert.

I'm of the same opinion as jk - nothing major there that excites me or makes me want to upgrade.

I still have the 4S as even the 5 didn't do enough to justify the extra cost for me. I had two options, £15 a month and keep the 4S or £45 a month and upgrade to the 5, it was an easy choice.

I've been iPhone for some years now, almost since the beginning. Have the 5, but on a recent work promotion got a few Xperia Z handset and going to change I think.

Been a long time hater of Apple software such as iTunes, but always rated the hardware, but time now for a change I think and possibly a trend for people bored of the same old iPhones! Small improvements but all almost identical really!

The 'Cheap' 5 at almost £500 is just an insult to normal people not prepared to pay silly contracts in my opinion! This will be my last phone included package I think! Costs getting silly now on contracts!

The idea that the C is cheap is just a joke isnt it. I'm pretty sure Apple make an absolute fortune on their hardware. I love my iPad and am definitely not anti Apple. I have an Apple TV too which is good. I personally think we will see Apple lose more and more of its market share.

I have heard that they don't want to make the screen any bigger because it would make the phone bigger, and its current size is the optimum size for a phone or some garbage like that. My S4 is so handy for watching things on when I'm on a train or plane. I think Apple should offer a bigger screen so it can go 1080 IMHO.

Agreed on the iphone 5 with a plastic case...the 5c. I would still go with 5s with its classy material case especially the gold edition. However, the price is really expensive compared to 5c. On the other hand, Im still satisfied with my Samsung 4s for its fast processor, quad core. Sometimes it works faster than my laptop.
