    Two...

    :biggrin

Edit: post corrected to display the correct information, as opposed to the incorrect information previously posted.
    Which is now hopefully correct...

Is it two seperate exams, or can you do them both at the same time?

There are two tests for the A+. Hardware, and Software.

Take a look at Comptia site for more information.

Two - but you can do them one after the other if the testing centre can arrange it.

This is the book that is mostly recommended on this forum.

If you go here you can purchase vouchers which will significantly lower the cost of your exams from £125 each to around £80 each. This link leads you to the international vouchers, which are the ones needed for the UK.

    Good luck! :thumbleft

Er.... it's £105 for each test, not £125. but if you follow the link for vouchers in Juice142s reply, you will be able to take the same tests for less money.
And the book recommended in the same post gets the thumbs up from me too. Very helpful!

Edited to include praise of Mr Meyers tome.

Sorry, not posted in a while as I've been busy trying to get a nice shiny IT Job!
Anyway, I paid for my A+ direct to Prometric with my credit card and definitely only paid £105 for each test. Checked my statement as well as the official reciepts I got as well.

In the UK, something that is quite worrying. . . .

With Prometric, you do not pay VAT on top of your Exam price.

With Vue, you do pay VAT on top of your exam price.

So . . . unless you have a voucher for the exam (Which tend to be predominately Vue vouchers), try and find a Prometric Exam Centre, to save the VAT.
