Hi just signed up cause recommended by Modey. Currently a MCSA, etc - studying for my MCDST (maybe a MCSE - but I'll have to think about that one later), working in IT over 2 1/2 years (professionally).

Hope to give, as well as get, info and assistance from this forum.

I studied my ass off, then got lucky by getting an IT job with the local college (full-time). Stayed two years there, the left for a higher position and more money, now I get to work with modey - for all my sins.

So moral of this story, one of the ways to get into IT is to get a job with a company that has a high turnover in staff, hehehe (once you've got your foot in the door you're in). And more important, be yourself during the interview, if you don't know an answer, tell them that you don't know and that you will/can find out, crack a joke or two (nothing to vile) and just relax.
