    Afternoon Campers,

Has anyone used Global Knowledge at all?
I have used them for Self Study exams and found them to be excellent and in fact I plan on booking my N+ there.
However, I am unsure as to there Classroom based courses.

I am looking to do a CCA (as I use it at work) and seeing as Work are willing to fund me some courses, I thought I would look into it. Now, £2000 is quite a few quid even with work paying towards it, but would just like to get some opinions (if there are any).

    Cheers,

    Ron

I'm sure you'll get some positive replies on this forum about them, one of their Sr VMware Trainers frequents this board.

I have used them in the past and would do again in the future, I know a couple of their instructors and they are good people.

As far as TP's go they are one of the better ones.

Another thumbs up from me. I did my vSphere 4.1 course with them and have the Powershell v2 course in September. They are very good IMHO. Also my employers preferred TP and we are one of the biggest IT companies in Europe if that's anything to go by.

I've done courses in their Swiss training offices, and they were good. Even made friends with a number of their trainers and have kept in touch now and then.

This has helped me get a free course at one point (I assisted an evening MCSE course) and a very nice reduction on another one (was paid for by my previous company nevertheless).

The courses may seem expensive, but for that kind of money, you get a week or two of class-room assisted training (typically a 9am to 5pm deal if done during the day, or a 6pm to 9pm if done in the evenings and spread over a long period) of hands on work and a competent trainer that can take you by the hand if you get stuck on anything. May include a number of lab simulations, discussion, presentations and theory and so on.

Just like back in school, but in something you actually want to learn ;)

    Cheers Guys, much appreciated.
I have had a look around for some books for the CCA 4 / 4.5 and they all seem really out dated so I certainly think its best if I do the 5 day GK course.

Thanks for all the great feedback, which in all honesty just confirms what I thought.

    Many Thanks :)
