    Hi All

Just wondering what gadgets you guys are playing with these days. I've just got a Samsung Galaxy S4...... and absolutely love it! I've had a battered HTC desire for years now and figured I'd treat myself. I haven't stopped playing with it for days ha ha. I've even ordered a cheeky class 10 30mb/s 64GB micro card for it, flip knows why or what I'll put no it but it felt right ha ha. I got the S-View case with it which is really ace.

Have you guys and gals had any new toys? Oh upgraded my ATV 2 to a 3 for the 1080p'ness. Love it. I hear an ATV4 might be around the corner.... as is Android Key Lime Pie :)

    Cheers

    Jim

I have a HTC One sitting on my bedside table charged up, just haven't migrated to it from my iPhone 5 yet.

I just picked up 3 Synology DS1513+ NAS devices and some NAS specific drives that I am going to be playing with soon :)

Was thinking of getting a Surface Pro today, not sure if I will as I know I will be gutted when they bring out the Surface Pro 2... but it is a nice gadget :)

Am also thinking of playing with Ubuntu Mobile on the Nexus 7 but again not too sure whether to go down that route or wait for a more stable version (especially as there is an issue with the current release and the Nexus 7).

Too many gadgets, not enough time.

Work gave me the S4 awhile ago it is a really nice phone but a lot of the features I don't think I will ever use such as the eye tracking when you read emails sounds cool but just does not work that great same with the films I am looking at the screen it thinks I am not and keeps pausing the film!

But it is a great phone but I still maintain for work email you just can't beat a Blackberry!

I really fancied the HTC One but had previously had a HTC so fancied a change, I dont think you can go wrong with any of the latest smart phones. Mines a better spec than my netbook. I love gadgets but like you say who has the time. I'll probably have to start booking time off work just to mess with these things ha ha

    Surface Pro 2 sounds great!

Got a great deal on a wacom bamboo tablet. its great but is taking some getting used to as having the pointer float around the screen when the pen is mid air is a little strange.

I use the Wacom tablet without a pen. I use it in place of a mouse, and I am getting much less RSI. It's multi-touch too, so it's very useful for web browsing.

Last thing I bought was a Dell 2412M monitor (24 inch, 1920 x 1200 resolution, IPS). Much nicer than my previous screen.

Still playing with my camera upgrade from last year, a Canon 5D MK III, and a new lens I picked up for it a couple of weeks ago, a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 - this things far more advanced than my brain, but just about got the auto focusing system under control now.

I guess fountain pens don't count as "gadgets" so I'll leave that topic alone :)
