Ok, the subject is a bit misleading, but if you take a look at this panograph you'll notice it's about as close as many of us will get to sitting inside a real one!! :biggrin

True story: Michael and I both had the fortune to drive one. The president of Transcender just before the sale to Self Test had recently purchased a Ferrari. One day when he drove it to work, he let several of us drive it. It was awesome!

I have done one of those track days where I got to drive a 355, lambo and Aston martin vancuish it was cool, but very expensive for the amount of time you get actually driving.

I would love to do one of those track days!

The good woman bought me a flying lesson a couple of years ago, that was incredible. I got a bug for wanting to fly planes but at heart I'm a petrolhead!

It's one of my goals to do what you did you lucky thing! :biggrin

It was nearly £900, you spend the first half of the day being taught how to drive properly and safely on a track, then you sit in as a passenger seat for a few circuits in a couple of different cars then they let you drive with an instructor in the passenger seat. Then you get tea & biscuits :)

My personal favorite was the lambo LP40, the Aston was a bit too long for me and the seat had no hight adjustment as I am a shortarse, so I couldn't reverse it very well out of the garage. The 355 was a nice drive although was very twitchey at high speed, but I am used to driving beemers which are twitchey when driven properly :)

The R8 is far nicer than the DBR9! But just to be different my car of choice would be a Viper - http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/viper/

I'd love to have a go in a Gumpert.

Ugly as sin but my God it's bloody quick! Fastest car ever round the Top Gear track too remember!

Second on my list would be the current world's fastest car (yes folks, it's not the Veyron any more!) the SCC Ultimate Aero. Just to say I had a go in it.

Third on the list is the company I had pinned all over my bedroom wall as a child, I have to throw a Lambo in there. Specifically the Lamborghini Reventon.

Lastly, if we're talking dream track days here, you really would have to put in an F1 car but seeing as we're keeping practical here I have to go with the McLaren Mercedes SLR Renntech 722 GT.

It's an SLR at heart but has been stripped down and tuned to high heaven. A must drive!
