    Hello All,

Does anyone have any sugggestionsd where I can get funding / fees reduction to take my MCDST training and exams.

I dont want to end up in debt with it as I am currently on a low income - hence i dont want to go down teh road of loans or career development loans.:(

It just seems that all the MS Trainers want in excess of £1500 plus the Tony Blairs..

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreaciated.

    Regards.

    Meat Loaf.

OK you have two options here, if you want to achieve the MCP/MCDST status.

    1. Self-Study: this is the cheapest option, however it isn't the easiest option especially if this is your first cert and/or you have no previous experience. Or

    2. Check out your local college/tech, alot of colleges/techs are becoming Microsoft/Comptia/CISCO academy's so they actaully offer courses and exams at a discounted/reduced rate. For example the college in my area are offering the MCDST course plus exam voucher for £255 (course & books) and £193 (for both exams).

Both options are cheaper than the £1500 options that your currently faced with.

    I hope this helps

Solid advice, above. I got all my certifications through self-study.
