Finally passed this pain in the backside 70-272 exam having easily passed the 70-271 exam. I thought I was never going to pass the bloody thing. The problem was all the technologies covered in the 70-272 exam I don't use at work like exchange, office 2003 etc we use Lotus Notes and Office 2000. Feel embarrassed as people said this exam was easy and it took me three attempts. Well at least it's done and dusted now. Now onto the 70-270 exam...:D

The only advice I can give you Boyce is:

    1) Pick your study material carefully as there are a lot of badly written books out there. My tip is to read the reviews on study books at Amazon.com The American site usually has more reviews on books than it's UK counterpart.

    2) You can't beat hands on experience. Hands on experience is worth more than reading 10 books. If you can afford it buy 2 PC's this way you can start learning about Active Directory which you couldn't if you only have one PC.

    3) Don't jump into Certs too quickly. Start with A+ and Network+ and work upto your MCSE. Even though I have years of experience with PC's I know if I did my MCSE before the A+ and Network+ I would fall flat on my face.

    4) If you fail an exam don't give up. It took me three goes at the 70-272 exam mainly due to the fact that what I was tested on is something I don't use at work but thats life you can't be good at everything...

Hope this helps Boyce if there is anything specific you want to know let me know...:D
