    Morning all,

I've been giving a lot of thought to re-locating or contracting as a consultant abroad recently, although i'm finding it difficult to get any information as such.

I just wondered if anyone else has gone down a similar route and where would be the best resource for information? I'm thinking either the states (first choice) australia or dubai.

    Any information is appreciated.

    Danny.

What kind of information are you after mate? I used to have a few contractor colleagues in the US and they were on less money than the permies, plus they can get canned at any time, not so desirable.
I've seen a few contract roles in Dubai, however they all were high profile. Australia would probably be a better option, known a few people who have moved there and landed decent support contracts that pay well.

Have a look on jobserve, theitjobboard and search contract jobs by the country you are interested in.
I'm contracting in Belgium and the moment and found my first role on jobserve.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the info Bri,

I'm really just looking for somewhere that would offer a 12 month contract and to gain some experience to add to my CV. I've worked in and around Europe with my present employer but fancy going it alone and going further afield. I'll check out those sites, i guess i'll need to apply for a Visa when i've made my mind up too. Its not as easy as you might think is it.

    Cheers,

    Danny.

No visas for europe, work visas for america, canada and australia can be tricky to get without a firm employment offer or sponsorship.
