With the relocation coming up faster than you can say Jack Robinson, I am scouring the Interwebnet looking for the best broadband package.

It seems Eircom offer a good unlimited uncongested fiber package. The only thing is I do not agree with the company's stance on the three strikes rule. Not that I personally have anything to be concerned about regarding illegal activity, it's more about user privacy, digital rights and the like. I don't know if I can support a company that believes in the three strikes and your disconnected rule.

Failing Eircom there is UPC, which, where I am relocating to, only offers digital television in my area. The rest of the ISP's I've looked up seem to offer rubbish speeds with ridiculous usage caps for astronomical prices.

The one exception appearing to be BT's 24mb business package for 40 euro a month.

Is it worth biting the bullet and plumping for Eircom even though I disagree with them from a legal and moral viewpoint?

This is the package I am looking at: http://www.eircom.net/broadband/products/bundles/ngb/17/

    Then I read this: http://irelandoffline.org/2010/03/eircom-and-next-generation-broadband/

Seems like overall, residential broadband access is gouged on a par with the Cayman Islands!
