    Hi all,

Im another one who has been lurking in the background the last few weeks, found the forum a great help.......passed my A+ OS exam today and hope to do the hardware in 2 months once ive brushed up on the content again.

Bought the course from ICS for about £550, thought that was alot of cash, but reading some posts i suppose it was quite cheap also used Mike Meyers A+ Exam book (excellent) and a Thomson course A+ guide. After doing the exam i would say 98% of the content was covered.(also had some great mock exam progs.)

Anyway real name Andy most call me Pie, my online game name
originally from Airdrie, Scotland....In Army currently serving near Cambridge....hoping to get more computer certs as I fancy a change once I leave the Army.

Nice to meet u all and the forum has been a great help.

    Pie

Greetings, Pie. Welcome to CertForums. Glad you found the place. Congratuations on the A+ OS pass. Hope the hardware part of the exam goes well, though I imagine it will. Most folks consider the OS part more challenging. :)

Awright Pie - Scots Members aroon here is mair b'the day - minted !!!! :D

Well done on the OS pass, m8 - my only suggestion would be if at all possible, keep the gap between the 2 exams as short as possible - the fresher it is, the better you will do.

Other than that - welcome to CF :)

Thanks all for the Great Welcome

    In answer to Phil,

I ve been interested in computers since my commodore vic 20 days!!

Done a few MOS qualifications, but decided the A+ was the direction for me....hopefully after this I will do the Network+ as the course content comes with the course I bought from ICS. (although I think I will need to buy a book to go with it)

Then on maybe MCDST if all goes well, only prob I have is that I dont work in an IT job...but I do have 3 Computers at home I can link up etc...etc.. and an old working antique that I can dismantle etc...

    Pie
