........ Now before anybody digs out the flame thrower to defend Apple, I have an iPod/itunes and love the thing, the new mini imac drew my attention for a media centre in the living room as well. :biggrin

lol, I've had nothing but grief from a mate since I bought my iPod - mostly because every time he wittered on about macs my standard response was "form over function" :)

hehe yup i think most IT guys are slow to adapt, and im not different, i still wont buy a bloody athlon, im coming around, and the Opteron is the first AMD chip id consider buying
same goes for apple, although, i never really talk apple or AMD down, i just point out they ahve there markets, and im not in it, i was never a graphci designer or publisher, so macs were out, and i never chose a cheap overclockable processor over an expensive processor that was stable as a rock

Opterons however are stable as rocks
and Mac OS X has made drastic changes to my outlook on apples 'usefulness' in the work place
as a Security engineer its useful to have somethign based on unix that just 'works' and i can compile all my favourite open source security tools right onto MAC OS from the command line
beats having to play with the XFree86Config file all the bloody time i tell ya :)
