I believe that the 83-640 is already available in the UK and the 70-640 is not anymore.

The 70-640 is still available in alot of countries, especially outside the EU/EC and the US :)

Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and Freestyle Karate, however that was achieved many moon ago (haven't really practiced at the level for a few years now) :(

    Hi,

I recently sat the 83-640 in the UK and its definately the only one available. You will sit 2 sims and then get about 40 questions.

Is that the reason for the change of number as it includes sims now?

    Yes... Meaning of prefixes:

70 - standard version of the MS exam
    71 - beta exam
72 - academic version* (indentical to the 70 exam, just different coding & prices, conditions apply)
74 - MS Partner Program competencies exams
77 - MCAS exams (eg Office 2007/Vista - not to be confused with 70-620)
    83 - Performance-based versions of the 70/72 exams

    Hope this helps :)
