Passed my 70-642 today, all I need now is to complete the other two and I will have my MCITP: Server Admin certification.

Think I got 1 question wrong, and I am pretty certain it's the one I was going to change but decided against it. Oh well. 975/1000 is a pass anyways, so it don't really matter by how much I passed.

Congrats mate, did you find the 642 harder than the 640 despite the fact the 640 press book is twice the size?

I am yet to do the 70-640 and 70-646 exams. I did 70-642 purely first as it was a smaller book and I have setup dns and other infrastructure before on Windows. Book was quite good too.

I am working towards doing 70-646 and the end of august. Then I will work on 70-640.

I would suggest doing the 640 exam before the 646 exam because the 646 exam will require you to have the knowledge from both 640 and 642 (where as 647 requires you to have the knowledge from 640, 642 and 643).

There is a reason that the exams are in a sequential order, MS usually expect you to sit them in that order because the content of each exam borrows material from the previous exams.

 

I've booked my 70-646 for Monday morning (10am). It's now Friday here and I am getting pretty excited, as I just want to give it a go. So hopefully good news Monday.

Should I pass, will aim to have 70-640 read and reviewed, then sit for it at the end of September. At which point I need to allocate a month to ITILv3 Foundation exam, then I will come back to hitting 70-622, 70-686 so I can pick up 2 more MCITP's as I have done 70-620 and 70-680 already. At which point I am going to start on Hyper-V. So going to be a busy 6 month I think ahead.
