    Hello

Hope I'm in the right area.

I've started studying for the above exam using the Microsoft book called "Designing a database server Infrastructure using SQL SERVER 2005" by J.C Mackin and Mike Hotek.

On chapter one page 47 there is a section called BUFFER CACHE REQUIREMENTS.

There is an example explaining how to work out how much memory is taken by the cache by queries. I don't understand it. It says "30 users will execute Query A with a unique output of 400kb". It works the answer that the Query A would require approx. 120MB in the buffer cache. How is this calculated?

    I was working it as...

    (400/1024)*30
    =11.71MB
