In a very interesting sub plot to Zune, MS's new player, will not play DRM'ed music. MS has completely changed their DRM and their old DRM is not compatible with MS's new DRM. So, what is MS recommending that the people who purchase Zune do? Just break the law and use 3rd party tools to rip the DRM out of their existing files so that Zune can play them.

That's right, MS is recommending that people break the law by bypassing the DRM protections in their existing media files to use MS's newest product. Hmmm.... I wonder what Sony, BMG, the RIAA, MPAA, etc... think of this as MS just patched their old DRM in an unprecedented 3 day patch release. Anyone see some lawsuits coming over this one?
