I've collected a number of desktops for Debian but for some reason the attached is just incredibly compelling for me. It seems to cry out 'innocence" and "peace". Qualities I long for but find elusive in my life.

 

I think that is life's trade Trip, innocence, peace and youth are traded for a bald head, grey hair, stress and wrinkles.

The wisdom that is hopefully gleaned with old age is as priceless as the innocence and peace of youth. You can't have both.

 

Then again, you could be like NoelG and be blessed with neither !!

 

Well, you guys are putting all your girlie screens up. I'm putting up my psychedelic butterfly desktop. It's the latest desktop I made with fractal software.

Ok...when I'm not so schmaltzy, this is what I like...

 

OK, I decided that I wasn't making enough use of my second monitor (after convincing my girlfriend that it was an essential purchase!) so I've spent the last (looks at watch...holy cr@p) three or four hours rejigging my desktop and trying out different GUI tweaking apps. Now I feel it's of a worthy standard to be posted here!

PS. If anyone knows of a simple way to change the colour of the taskbar - without installing WindowBlinds etc. - I would be grateful (and I don't just mean changing it to one of the default colour options either)!

well here's my latest desktop (it changes a lot) but this time I have Lacey Chabert (of Party of Five fame and Lost in Space the movie and Daddy Day Care) have to say she has blossomed in more ways I can imagine

 

How do you concentrate on your work with a desktop like that?

 

I like to change my Debian desktop at home with a certain amount of regularity. Here's the latest (sorry Noel...no "blossom" shots).

 

Thing is Trip I dont have that desktop at work...and since we work on Macs I wouldnt wana crash their machine with sexy women such as Lacey...it couldnt handle it whereas my PC can......haha...but I love it...I have a different woman on it nearly every week or so...its great having a variety of women to choose from...

 

Noel, given that every one of your desktops so far has been of a spritely young girl, something tells me you should try going on a few more dates .
